This mouse is made from blown glass, with the ears and legs shaped using glass-blowing tongs. Its sleek form, with its long, curved tail and tapered snout, lends itself particularly well to a practical purpose: a dropper. During the 17th and 18th centuries, the fashion for zoomorphic objects grew in popularity.
