Sabre of a light cavalry or mounted infantry officer, with a German-style guard in gilded brass, the guard engraved and chiselledwith foliage, shuttle-shaped pommels adorned with a fleur-de-lis and foliage in high relief, openwork and engraved cap, covered with filigree leather; narrow, curved blade with a hollow back; brass scabbard with two engraved clamps featuring suns, foliage and trophies on one side; the lower section is engraved with tortoiseshell, iron barbed tip; total length: 104 cm (original reinforcements on either side of the rivet)
