- Study of the head of a soldier from the 42nd Infantry Regiment in full dress uniform with a khaki kepi, pitchpin frame, 17.10 cm (small crack)
- Miniature oil portrait of a senior officer, possibly an adjutant-major, in a blue uniform embroidered on the front with gold foliage and a red collar with two rowsof gold embroidery; he wears the Grand Cross of Commander of the Order of the Legion of Honour and a Cross of Saint Louis worn diagonally across the chest; 9 x 6 cm; large gilded wooden frame. Date: late Empire to early Restoration period; good condition
Handwritten note from Marshal Pétain dated 6 July 1927
“Madam. To my great regret, I shall be unable to have lunch at your home on Friday, but I shall be able to join you and your guests at half past two if that suits you. Please accept, Madam, my most respectful regards. Ph Pétain” mounted under glass in a gilded frame. 10.5 x 14 cm
