IN NEUSTADT”, lock plate from the Versailles arsenal, hallmarked "B2" surmounted by a Phrygian cap; the hammer, lock mechanism, lock guard and lock spring are of later date; fittings in cut iron with three ramrod loops; stock made of walnut; the stock bears an inscription on an old label, partially legible: “Siege of Sevastopol 1858 E Buringer guard… damaged…”; length 106.5 cm
