Officer’s percussion saddle pistol. Round, rifled, square-bore barrel of large calibre (17.8 mm). The breech, rear lock plate and hammer are engraved with foliage scrolls. Nickel silver fittings engraved in the same style. Door-knob-style pommel. Finger-rest trigger guard. Short-stock walnut butt, partly checkered, with thumb rest. Iron rib. B.E. Circa 1840.
