Lined with blue velvet, signed in gold on the lid: “FRANCIS MARQUIS BOULEVARD DES ITALIENS 2 A PARIS”, it contains: - A pair of officers’ pistols. Barrells with faceted sides, fluted edges, rifled and blued, stamped ‘Liège’. Bases numbered ‘1’ and ‘3’, with grey-hardened rear sights and breech blocks. Flat-bodied locks, round-bodied hammers, trigger guards and lock caps, all grey-hardened and engraved with rocaille motifs. Carved walnut stocks. Iron ramrods. Length: 34 cm. -And its accessories: two ramrod and cleaning rods, a barrel-removal screwdriver, a bullet mould with a jet cutter (slight damage to the casing), a capsule box and a copper and brass powder bulb with a blued spring.
