# Officer’s sword. The tang is inlaid with grooved mother-of-pearl plates (one of which is damaged) and adorned on the obverse with a gilded brass medallion depicting Athena in full length. Gilded brass mount, single-branch crossguard and pommel adorned with an allegory of Justice, reclining. Blade with a flat back and hollow edges, engraved one-third of the way along, with traces of gold. Leather scabbard (with cracks) featuring two brass fittings. Length: 97 cm. A.B.E.
