Nantes, 24 February 1827.
Concerning the settlement of the bequest made to him by Napoleon in his will. Reference is made to General BERTRAND, who has always shown great affection towards Cambronne; “had he been able to take charge of this settlement himself, no one would have had any cause for complaint”. He then mentions the banker LAFFITTE, for whom a current account should have been opened for the sum in his possession.
