1821-TYPE NATIONAL GUARD INFANTRY OFFICER’S SABRE, with a gilded brass hilt featuring a main and secondary branch, both decorated with foliage, a wooden hilt sheathed in sheepskin without filigree, a short-tailed pommel shaped like a cock’s head, and a small curved quillon ending in a flower-shaped pommel. Slightly curved blade, 75 cm long, with hollow sections and fuller marks in places, marked ‘P. Knecht à Solingen’; black cracked leather scabbard with three brass fittings and two Type 1845 suspension rings, dating from the July Monarchy period, ABE/BE.
