KINGDOM OF THAILAND - THAI OFFICER’S SABRE, nickel-plated metal mount with an ornate guard comprising one main prong and two secondary prongs bearing the kingdom’s coat of arms, a fluted hilt imitating coarse-grained stingray skin and filigree made of twisted metal wires, elephant-head pommel, a cap with a long tail, and a small curved quillon. Straight blade, 71 cm long, with hollow edges, engraved with foliage scrolls, trophies of arms and Thai symbols; nickel-plated metal scabbard with a single band and suspension ring, with a loop at the tip; second half of the 20th century, BE.
