BELGIUM-BRUSSELS, 19th century, JULES FONSON, infantry officer’s sabre, slightly curved steel back blade, chiselled and marked "For the King and the Fatherland", two-pronged guard and gilded bronze pommel, decorated with flowers and foliage, wooden handle covered with brass filigree, iron scabbard, in fair condition (wear, oxidation, impact marks), blade length approx. 89 cm, overall length approx. 107 cm.
