EUROPE, 18th century, set of 2 halberds/spontons; the first is a double-headed halberd with a crescent-shaped axe-like head, surmounted by a straight spike; the wooden shaft is covered in red velvet, in poor overall condition (heavily oxidised), total length approx. 2m32; the second is a spontoon, with a triangular, spear-point-shaped blade; the shaft is also made of wood covered in green velvet, in poor overall condition (heavily oxidised), total length approximately 2m24.
