A side-by-side shotgun with hammers, manufactured in Saint-Étienne around 1900 for J.M. Mailhos in Montevideo, as evidenced by the signature in gold lettering around the base of the hammers. Barrels 700 mm long, 12/70 calibre, with a crucible-steel extractor and four black-bronzed palmes. Fittings engraved with thorn motifs and polished to a white finish, with a load indicator.(re-polished). Non-detachable English-style stock in varnished, checkered walnut, 360 mm long with a half-butt plate. Gun tested with ‘T’ powder; split butt plate. Gun no. 6465. Mechanism in working order.
