A fine French court sword, with a triangular blade featuring three hollow sides, engraved at the base of the blade with cartouches bearing floral motifs.
The fittings are made of re-pierced wrought iron; the round pommel is decorated with re-pierced rosettes; the guard’s branch flares out at its centre and is re-pierced, curving forwards; no functional twisted crossguard, a rosette-decorated escutcheon joining the symmetrical bivalve plate, which is secured by a concave rectangular foot; a four-sided, curved wooden tang reinforced with a band of coiled copper alternating with double filigree, the pommel base ferrule is missing; no scabbard
