Description
A rare tilting pepper pot made by Devisme in Paris, as indicated on the upper part of the barrel. The smooth barrel is hallmarked ‘ELG’. The front part of the barrel/barrel chamber is rifled (a single rifling groove). The revolver frame is locked in the tilted position by an extension of the frame that projects over the cylinder rim and is topped by a bolt fitted with a machined front sight, held in place by a strong flat spring. The trigger is foldable and has a chequered pattern at its base. Double-action-only hammer with a rounded crest; the hammer shaft is screwed through the oval cap, which features a broad flat head with fluted sides.
