Flintlock travel or naval pistol, left-hand lock. Bronze-mounted weapon, cylindrical bronze barrel with two flutes and a reinforced muzzle, chambered for 18-ball calibre. Iron breech block, left-hand lock, flat bronze lock body, hammer with a round shoulder, mainspring screwed in from the outside, brass fittings, smooth varnished walnut stock extending almost to the muzzle. Mechanism in working order but the cocking lever engagement needs attention (hammer travel slightly short). Overall length: 280 mm. Made in France circa 1760. Condition 1-
