TWO SMALL OVAL MINIATURES – LANDSCAPES Two small oval miniatures depicting lively landscapes: The first, painted on glass, depicts a waterside landscape with figures, houses and a windmill in the background; set in an openwork metal frame decorated with stylised motifs. Loss of paint; the frame shows significant oxidation and traces of rust. The second, probably painted on paper, depicts a lively rural waterside scene, with a house, trees and figures; set in an oval brass frame with a palmette frieze. 19th century. Approximate dimensions: 4.5 × 3 cm each. Condition: wear, losses and damage; oxidation on the mounts. Sold as is.
