Papua New Guinea Very beautiful lime gourd Traditionally made by the Papuan tribes of the Trobiand Islands archipelago, using a calabash, painted with a stopper woven from plant fibres and decorated with a wild pig's tooth. The gourd is in very good condition with its 46 cm long cord. H. 22 cm D. 15 cm Provenance: > Collected in situ by a French journalist in the early 1980s, > Private collection Île-de-France
