Amédée Ozenfant (1886-1966) Pêcheuse de lune 1941 Graphite and gouache on paper signed and dated lower right 58 x 80 cm Provenance: > Galerie Larock-Granoff, Paris > Private collection, Paris Exhibitions: > Cannes & la Malmaison, "Amédée Ozenfant, regard sur la modernité", from June to October 1997, reproduced on page 82 of the exhibition catalogue. Condition report: Inset Amédée Ozenfant was a French artist, pioneer of the modern movement and co-founder of purism with Le Corbusier. He is also a theorist, lecturer and twentieth-century art critic, known for his teaching in Paris, London and New York. He was co-director of the magazine L'Esprit Nouveau (1920-1925) with Le Corbusier and Paul Dermée.
