Uranai Baba (‘Baba Yaga’). The fortune-teller Baba, Turtle’s elder sister,
is brilliant; she hovers above a crystal ball and organises battles featuring a parade of
monstrous champions: a mummy, a vampire, a werewolf and a demon. Her nickname ‘
Baba Yaga’ evokes the witch from Slavic folktales, who lives in a house on
chicken legs and devours children.
