The Horde’s sorceress: purple hood, two yellow eyes in the dark and a power of illusion that makes her one of the most disturbing characters in a cartoon designed to sell toys. As the female counterpart to He-Man, She-Ra enjoyed a second lease of life in 2018 with a reboot that reimagined Shadow Weaver as a toxic mother figure.
