Description
Sailor Moon (美少女戦士セーラームーン) Based on the work of Naoko Takeuchi (武内直子) Gigaros – Episode 52 / 00:19:00 Hand-painted celluloid used in the production of the anime Executed in ink and gouache Produced by Toei Animation, 1992–1997, Japan H27 × L39 cm Mounted on tissue paper Behind the glittering world of Sailor Moon lies a tone that is at times very dark. Gigaros is a monster sent by the aliens Ail and An, tasked with stealing the life energy of humans; this time, that of very young children, deemed ‘fresher’. He attacks nursery school buses. A rare example of a monster that is genuinely scary in a children’s series.
