Kaji-kabuto helmet
In lacquer and mother-of-pearl inlay. The helmet lacquered in suji-bachi, the hachimanza (decorative element of the opening at the top) composed of five bourelets, four of which are decorated with striations, the last without decoration, three shinodare (arrow-shaped decorative elements placed at the front between the lamellae). The whole piece is decorated with mother-of-pearl squares inlaid in a random fashion, reminiscent of certain decorations from the Momoyama period.
