A pupil of David d’Angers, Honoré Jean Aristide Husson was awarded the Second Prize at the Prix de Rome in 1827 and the First Prize at the Prix de Rome in 1830. On his return to Paris, he exhibited at the Salons from 1837 onwards, winning a second-class medal in 1837 and a first-class medal in 1848.
Husson received numerous commissions from the French State.
