Description
A curved chest of drawers with a crossbow-shaped front, crafted from carved and moulded ash wood. The front features three rows, each highlighted by mouldings, with four drawers – two of which are in the first row. The scalloped lower rail is adorned with a pompon, rocaille and volutes. The undulating sides form three panels surrounded by mouldings. The sculpted side panels, with the front ones embellished with recessed carvings, rest on small, curved feet finished with scrolls. Polished bronze fittings: lock plates and drop handles on rosettes. France. Crafted in the Dauphiné region. 18th century
