Description
A tomb-style chest of drawers with espagnolette locks, in amaranth veneer, decorated with a counter-curling pattern. It opens to reveal three rows, highlighted by dark brass fluting, containing four drawers with ash-panelled fronts, two of which are in the top row. The bottom drawer is designed to resemble a bridge, and the crossbar forms a lamp base. The fluted side panels rest on small curved feet. Top in royal red marble with a corbin moulding. Gilded bronze fittings: lock plates, foliage-decorated handles, apron, espagnolette finials and applied clogs.
