Description
Architectural terracotta mascaron depicting the god Mercury.
The face is rendered in slight relief. The whole is set within a slightly curved plaque, intended to be incorporated into an architectural decoration, probably on a façade or as a crowning element.
The surface retains a beautiful patina with shades of ochre and brown.
