Evolving from a figurative style strongly influenced by the 19th-century masters and their perfect compositions to an abstract style heavily influenced by the 1950s (De Staël, Jackson Pollock), he combines action painting with colourful figuration, ranging from landscapes to female nudes. Highly active during the 1980s and 1990s, he draws inspiration from the legacy of Pop Art artists and American culture (Basquiat, Warhol, etc.)
