Evolving from a figurative style strongly influenced by the 19th-century masters and their perfect compositions, to an abstract style heavily influenced by the 1950s (De Staël, Jackson Pollock), he combined action painting with colourful figurative art, ranging from landscapes to female nudes. Very active during the 1980s and 1990s, he drew inspiration from the legacy of Pop Art artists and American culture (Basquiat, Warhol, etc.)
