Description
Alecos Fassianos (1935–2022) Unripe Grapes Oil on paper, signed and titled top centre and mounted on board, in a rare frame made by the artist 28.5 x 18.5 cm Provenance: > Private collection, Northern France (gift from the artist) Well known for his portraits and dreamlike scenes featuring animals and figures, Fassianos never ceased to explore the other great traditions of painting, starting with that of the still life. This theme is not new to the artist, who began experimenting with it as early as the late 1960s. However, his style has evolved and the colours have, little by little, gained in intensity and contrast.
