Antoine de La Boulaye (born 1951) Untitled (nude) Acrylic on paper, signed lower right, mounted on aluminium, 46.5 x 35.5 cm Antoine de La Boulaye’s career began with his training at the École Supérieure d’Arts Graphiques and the Académie Julian in Paris. He then went on to become artistic director at advertising and publishing agencies until 1980, after which he devoted himself exclusively to painting. He quickly established himself as a talented painter of horses and exhibited regularly at the Galerie La Cymaise in Paris. Prestigious institutions welcomed him, from the Grandes Écuries de Chantilly to the museums in Nantes and Béziers, and the Institut français in Seville. Numerous major French galleries have dedicated exhibitions to him, notably at the FIAC (Foire Internationale d’Art Contemporain) in Paris. Antoine de La Boulaye’s reputation has spread beyond France’s borders, and he has held solo exhibitions in Switzerland, Belgium, the United States and the United Kingdom.
