Bibliography: > Galerie Blau, Fribourg, 1997, “Yves Pagart – Mobilier”, model reproduced on page 49. Yves Pagart is a French designer whose artistic world lies at the intersection of sculpture, art furniture and contemporary design. Based near Cahors, in the Lot Valley, he draws his inspiration from nature, observing the mineral, plant and animal forms that fuel his creative imagination. His works are characterised by organic, often zoomorphic lines, evoking fossils, shells or imaginary creatures. Working primarily with metal – notably steel, zinc and patinated bronze – Yves Pagart crafts sculptures and furniture that deliberately blur the line between functional objects and works of art. His creations stand out for their understated elegance and strong poetic presence, where every curve seems inspired by the movements of nature. For several years now, he has been collaborating with his son, Benjamin Pagart, a cabinetmaker based in Paris. Together, they produce unique pieces or limited editions, combining the nobility of precious woods with the expressive power of metal.
