CHINA, 17th century
Rare group in grey jade, with high relief carved decoration in the form of a rock sheltering a standing figure holding a paddle, at the entrance to a cave on one side, a monkey climbing a rocky cliff on the other, the whole surmounted by branches of peach trees filled with fruit. The grey-toned stone has numerous white inclusions and is infused with rust in places.
Resting on a suitable wooden base.
