CHINA, 18th century
Rare carved white jade group in the form of pomegranates in their branches, topped by a cicada and a bug. The uniformly white stone shows rust inclusions that the sculptor has skilfully used to bring out the two insects in a naturalistic style. Resting on a suitable wooden base.
