CHINA, 19th century Lapis lazuli group in the form of a cave housing an arhat holding a scroll, next to a lingzhi vase on one side, the other side imitating a rock face. Comprising an incised poem in relief bearing an apocryphal signature of the monk "" (Guanxiu), from the series of sixteen poems dedicated to the sixteen arhats (Shíliù Luóhàn, ). "Done with nobility, praise the man, Who burns aloe incense in a perfume burner with broken feet. The monk Sanzang, with the breath of sacred texts, Still plays the Law in silence.
