Khud kulah helmet and bazuband arm protector, Iran Qâjâr, 19th century Hemispherical helmet topped by a four-sided spike, the front riveted with two aigrettes on either side of a mobile nasal bridge. riveted with two aigrettes holders on either side of a mobile nasal, the base underlined by a camail of fine mesh, some gilded. In steel with moulded, engraved and partially gold damascened decoration of horsemen and hunters on horseback in poly-lobed mandorles, as well as hares and birds and birds in medallions with flowers, on a background of floral stems. marked with a frieze of cartouches and calligraphic roundels in nasta'liq. The matching bazuband, its mandorles each decorated with a hunter on horseback, one armed with a club, a second with a spear, a third with a bow.
