Wood, brass and various materials L. 79 cm
Antique and beautiful broad-bladed sabre housed in a wooden scabbard
encircled with brass strips forming a regular pattern
and embellished with a superb circular wickerwork element
richly decorated with the teeth of wild hogs. The horn handle
is traditionally carved in the shape of a Lasara,
a mythical local animal possibly derived from the Indian makara.
