Pair of bases for BUDDISH altar ornaments The openwork motifs depict multicoloured foliage and lotus petals The circular base has concentric circles and is decorated with banana leaves and floral scrolls Porcelain and polychrome enamels Six-character mark in Zhuanshu of the Qianlong emperor, old labels (no. 91 / no. 92) H. 14 cm - D. 18.5 cm Bottoms pierced, top parts missing These bases would have displayed one of the eight auspicious signs of Buddhism
