PAIR OF COPPER AND PAINTED ENAMEL PLAQUES, China, Qing dynasty, Qianlong period (1736-1795) Rectangular in shape, one decorated with a European couple under a willow tree and the other with a mother and son reading, within lobed cartouches, the rim decorated with stylised flower motifs; minor restorations to the rims, a chip to one corner. Dimensions: 7 × 13.8 and 7 × 13.9 cm (2 ¾ × 5 ½ and 2 ¾ × 5 ½ in.)
