Description
GOLDEN COPPER, SILVER AND SEMI-PRECIOUS STONE INCRETED VAJRACHARYA CROWN, Tibet, 18th/19th century
In the form of a five-leaf dome, finely worked in repoussé and appliqué, each element centred on a seated Buddha on a lotiform base, set in a frame richly decorated with shankha and foliage, alternating with four stupas, the front part of the dome decorated with two apsaras opening a stupa, the top surmounted by a finial; small accidents and some missing inlay work.
