Pair of armchairs in carved hongmu wood
The upright backs and armrests are partially openwork with swirling clouds, and decorated in the centre with circular medallions in grey marble with natural veins known as "dream stones", depicting mountain and water landscapes, each with a calligraphic inscription accompanied by a stamp. The square seats rest on four straight legs joined by crosspieces carved with stylised clouds and lingzhi motifs.
