In tempera on cotton, depicting three Buddhist masters. The main figure, shown in the upper register, is seated and holding a ritual staff. In the lower register are two other masters seated in meditation on lotus cushions, accompanied by young monks and assistants. The whole is set against a backdrop of rocks, streams and vegetation.
