Subject in copper alloy inlaid with silver
Representing the deity Shadakshari Lokeshvara seated in dhyanasana on a double lotus base decorated with an engraved foliate frieze, the main hands joined in front of the chest in anjalimudra and holding a jewel. The divinity is dressed in a finely striped dhoti and richly adorned with necklaces, jewels and ornaments for her arms, ears and headdress inlaid with copper, turquoise and coral. The face, with its elongated eyes inlaid with silver and copper and highlighted by finely arched eyebrows, is crowned with a foliage tiara. The hair is raised into a high bun. Unsealed base.
