Bronze sculpture
Representing the standing Buddha, hands joined at chest height in a gesture of greeting and devotion known as anjali mudra. The face looks serene, the eyes half-closed, the ears elongated, the hair in fine curls. The body is lanky, dressed in sober monastic robes that fall in elegant vertical folds.
