CHINA, Republic period A circular porcelain plate, standing on a short foot with a bulging wall, decorated in doucai enamels with a lotus flower surrounded by a frieze of peach and lotus branches in the central medallion, separated from the wing by a double blue border. The wing is decorated with the Eight Taoist Emblems known as "Anbaxiang". The outer wall is decorated with lotus branches. An apocryphal Chenghua six-character mark in a double square below the base.
