FRANCE, in the Chinese style, 19th century Porcelain baluster vase with ovoid body decorated with friezes of archaic decoration in relief, flanked by two handles in the form of chimera masks with rings, the whole with a turquoise and dark blue glaze. A European mounting is included. Height: 36 cm (The bottom is pierced) Comparative : This type of vase was inspired by a Chinese model and should be compared with a Chinese example in the Grandidier collection at the Musée des Arts Asiatiques-Guimet under reference G582.
