CHINA, late 19th-early 20th century Large rectangular carved wooden display cabinet, opening on the front with a glass door framed by a finely carved openwork decoration of geometric and stylised motifs. The side jambs are adorned with panels in light relief decorated with auspicious symbols and circular medallions. The upper part comprises a display case and openwork panels with lattice motifs and circular reserves, topped by a carved entablature decorated with foliage and stylised elements. The base rests on a braced pedestal, richly carved with archaic motifs and auspicious symbols.
