VIETNAM, 20th century Gold plate in the form of a first-class "Kim Khahn" type medal with chased and repoussé decoration on each side of dragons facing each other in the clouds against a flaming star around the edges, and framing the characters "保大勅𧶽" (Bảo Đại sắc tứ) and "一項全磬" (Nhất hạng toàn khánh), with orange cord. Dimensions : 9.5 x 6 cm Gross weight : 30 g approx. Net weight: 26.5 g Attached is an old black and white photograph of the Chaudoc Pagoda. Provenance: - Marcel Verdon collection, mentioned as having served in the French army and then in the French embassy, according to oral tradition. - Western France Collection
