Description
NEPAL, 19th century Bronze statuette with brown patina, representing the Padmapani deity standing on a base decorated with elephants. The divinity is depicted in a light tribangha, her two arms outstretched from which lotus branches climb, her face serene, her eyes half-closed, her nose straight. She is dressed in a dhoti with carved floral motifs, held in place by an elaborate belt and adorned with numerous jewels. Her head is placed in front of a pointed mandorla.
