An elegant pair of bronze vases with cloisonné enamels
Set upon tall circular feet, the quadrangular bodies feature crenellated openings, each displaying a rich polychrome enamel decoration on a turquoise ground depicting landscapes within circular medallions, the background adorned with bats amidst clouds, flanked by large gilded bronze handles in the shape of chimera heads with rings. Resting on matching wooden plinths.

Provenance: French family collection. The set is believed to have been brought back from Asia in the mid-20th century by a close family friend, known by the first name Marcel.
